Making Bookings and Getting Quotes

To provide you with an accurate quote, we need to get a better idea of what you’re thinking! Just keep in mind that the more detailed and complex your design is, the longer it might take and the more it could cost.

It would be awesome if you could share a few things with us:

🎨 Any ideas or reference images you’ve got (the more, the better!)

🎨 The size you have in mind (exact measurements are super helpful!)

🎨 Where you want the tattoo on your body.

You can send this info over via WhatsApp or email.

Once we share the quote with you, we can find the best dates and times for your appointment! A 50% deposit will secure your appointment.

We’ll also fill you in on what to do and what to steer clear of before your appointment, and send you reminders before your appointment.

We absolutely love creating custom tattoos! To get started, we usually have a fun consultation—either online or in person—so we can chat about your likes and dislikes. This is a great opportunity to explore different styles that appeal to you and discuss where you'd like the tattoo placed.

The location can really influence the design, especially if we’re considering any special areas like scars or cover-ups.

We can’t wait to help bring your vision to life!

We do offer selective cover-ups, depending on the size, placement, and darkness of the existing tattoo. Not every tattoo is a good candidate for a cover-up, and we’re always honest about what will (and won’t) work long-term.

Smaller or lighter tattoos are often much easier to rework or cover successfully. Larger, darker, or heavily saturated pieces may need a few laser sessions first to get the best possible result. If that’s the case, we’re happy to guide you in the right direction.

All cover-ups start with an in-person consultation so we can assess the existing tattoo and recommend the best approach for a result you’ll actually love.

Right now, we don’t have a piercer in our studio, but no worries! We know an amazing piercer and would love to share their details with you. Let us know if you're interested!

What to do and not do before your appointment

While your tattoo is healing and scabbing, it’s best to steer clear of swimming (i.e.. No Swimming). Quick showers are great, but just remember not to soak your tattoo in any water. This means avoiding swimming pools, the ocean, lakes, dams, saunas, and baths.

It's really important to keep your new tattoo as clean as possible. For the first 48 hours, try to steer clear of any intense exercise or excessive sweating. This gives your tattoo some time to heal without any friction or the chance of getting infected by bacteria.

Once those two days are up, you can start easing back into light workouts. Just remember to keep your tattoo clean and avoid any heavy or long sessions until it’s fully healed.

Typically, this healing process takes about 14 to 30 days, depending on how your immune system works.

Getting a tattoo while you’re pregnant or breastfeeding isn’t the best idea because of the possible risks for you and your baby. So, we’ll have to pass on your appointment and can set it up again when it’s safe for you.

There are concerns about a higher chance of infections and complications, plus your body really needs time to heal after getting a tattoo, which can be tough during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. It's important to give your body a break after the stresses of pregnancy and nursing. If you're planning to breastfeed, it's best to wait until your baby isn't relying on breast milk before you go for that new tattoo.

Getting a new tattoo may affect or interfere with certain medical treatments, procedures, vaccinations and blood/tissue donation eligibility. Its best to consult with a qualified healthcare professional regarding any upcoming medical care or blood/tissue donation prior to being tattooed.

If you have any medical conditions that could affect your tattoo experience or healing, it’s totally a good idea to chat with your doctor first!

Before your appointment, we’ll ask a few questions to help us understand any potential risks during the tattooing process or while you're healing. This can include things like eczema, psoriasis, heart issues, immune system challenges, diabetes, and bleeding disorders. If you’re feeling under the weather, on immunosuppressive medications, pregnant or breastfeeding, getting a tattoo usually isn’t recommended, and if you have any bloodborne infections, it’s really important to consult a doctor before moving forward.

We appreciate you letting us know about any medical conditions ahead of time. It helps us make sure you have a safe and awesome tattoo experience!

Getting a tattoo can be an amazing and even healing experience, especially if you’re dealing with anxiety. We totally understand that the process might bring up a bit more anxiety, so it’s important to have a plan to manage it.

We’re here to help you feel as comfortable as possible during your appointment! If you’d prefer a quiet atmosphere and want to zone out with your headphones, that’s completely fine. If you’d rather come in during a specific time, like the earliest morning slot, we can set that up for you. And if bringing a comforting item like an ice pack or a plush toy helps you relax, feel free to bring it along!

Just let us know what you need in advance, and we’ll do our best to make sure you have a great experience!

We completely understand the nerves that come before getting a tattoo, especially if you have a fear of needles or trypanophobia. It's often just a mix of anticipation and stepping outside of your comfort zone. After all, this is a lifelong commitment.

We're here to guide you through the entire process to help ease your nerves. You're also welcome to bring along any comfort items, such as a pillow, plush toy, or fidget/sensory object.

Regarding substances, we recommend discussing this with a healthcare practitioner. We strongly advise against the use of any substances, including drugs and alcohol. It hardly ever has a positive impact on the process.

Haha! A beer or drink is cool, but just remember not to go overboard after your appointment. Your body needs time to bounce back after getting a tattoo, and chugging alcohol instead of nourishing it might not be the smartest move.

Also, just a heads-up: if you show up drunk before we start tattooing, we’ll have to politely decline your appointment. Drinking can lead to more bleeding and increased sensitivity. Plus, drugs can mess with your judgment and make you more sensitive or anxious and freak out. We want you to have a great experience, and we also want to keep things chill for our other customers. So, be lekker.

General information

We want you to feel comfy and relaxed during your appointment. But since our studio has limited space, we can only allow one extra support person to join you.

If you booked an appointment with a group of friends or family, unfortunately, no additional people can come along. This helps keep things chill and enjoyable for both our artists and customers.

Please keep in mind that no one under 18 years of age is allowed in the studio.

No problem at all if you want to rock your headphones! This is your chance to kick back and relax. Feel free to use our Wi-Fi, zone out with your music, dive into a good book, or or binge-watch that series you love. Enjoy!

We recommend grabbing a healthy meal before your appointment and feel free to bring some snacks, especially for those longer sessions.

Just a friendly reminder to steer clear of snacks that can get messy while we’re tattooing, like popcorn, pies, and chips—they can create a bit of a mess.

Don’t worry, though! We take breaks for lunch and snacks during those longer sessions because our artists need to recharge too. ☺

The main thing we focus on is comfort! We’re not worried about whether you’re wearing the latest trends; what’s really important is that you feel comfy. Plus, we definitely want to avoid any stains on your new clothes while we work on your tattoo.

It’s best to steer clear of white or light-coloured outfits. Choose something that allows you to easily move away from the area we’ll be tattooing. If you’re getting tattooed on your torso or ribs, wear something that covers areas you might not want to show. Avoid tight-fitting clothing such as sports bras or leggings that are uncomfortable to shift away. A zip-up or button-up top worn backward can keep you cosy and comfortable. Loose pants or a skirt are also a great choice if we’ll be tattooing your legs. And if we’re working around your ankles or feet, open shoes are way better than boots and socks!

Oh, and if your hair might get in the way, don’t forget to bring a hair tie!

Unless you feel the need to, or its in an area like your head that might need clippers, we prefer to shave the area of the tattoo. This just helps to avoid razer rash or cuts,

Some of our regulars will use a clipper to shorten the hair on their chests or legs if they are getting tattooed in those areas.

Yes, absolutely.

All products we use during your tattoo session come directly from our licensed suppliers. Our inks are imported from reputable, certified brands — 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and never tested on animals (only on willing humans 😊).

We also avoid any harmful or unnecessarily harsh products during the procedure, and no latex is used in our studio.

If you have any allergies or sensitivities that could affect your session or healing, please let us know beforehand so we can make sure everything is safe and comfortable for you.

Yes! And honestly… you’re going to love it.

We’re right above The Vineyard Deli — aka one of the best hidden gems in Kenridge. They’ve got a full restaurant and quick-bite options, including pre-made sandwiches and wraps, freshly baked croissants, a salad bar, and their build-your-own sub station (genuinely 5-star, highly recommended). You’ll also find biltong, takeaway coffee, smoothies, and Freezos for when you need something quick.

Right next door (easy walking distance) is a centre with Pick ’n Pay, Plato, and a pharmacy.

So whether you’re grabbing food, running errands, or killing time before your appointment, everything is right there.

We know that tattoo lingo can sometimes be a little confusing, so we came up with a tattoo dictionary to help clear things up!

If you have any other terms or words that you think might be tricky, we’d love to hear from you! Just send us a message to help us make the dictionary even better.
